Happy New Year! This is also the first of a NEW blog post for me!
This is always a time for me to reflect on many things both professionally and personally.
One of the my greatest achievments in 2016 was working with the brilliant charity Langdon, together with a small group of students at JW3, we have worked on baked goods, mainly cakes, and these have been produced by the students to give to St Mungoes - a social action project where "paying it forward" couldn't be more accurate! I am loving this and hope to do more in the next few months.
My work with the charity Gateways goes from strength to strength. Together with the other chef David Mendes we are working with the students to produce a small but diverse cookery book where dishes are chosen and created by the students, with the end goal that all proceeds from the sales of the book will go to the charity.
Students will be selling the cookery book and creating some of the dishes for people to sample at the foodie festival Gefiltest which takes place at JW3 this June, exciting! Please see pics in my gallery that capture some of the dishes created.
My public courses at JW3 are up and running on their website, forthcoming Thai on January 30th is the next one up. Please click on the link below to book your spot!
I already have an exciting solo venture planned, but cannot say anything at the moment until everything is set up, sorry to be cryptic, but all will be revealed soon and no, it's not a cookery book!
I would love to collaborate with more chefs out there who are like minded and creative, my motto is always two heads are better than one, and this search continues.
I am signing off for now but promise to post more blogs in 2017 so watch this space!
